Peniel is answering the call to bring Christ-centered healing to the Somali Bantu community in Kenyan refugee camps. Through freestyle rap therapy, trauma care, and discipleship, he aims to uplift the most vulnerable with hope and empowerment while partnering with Youth For Christ Kenya.
The impact of Peniel’s ministry isn’t just measured in numbers—it’s felt in lives. From detention centers to schools to refugee camps, those who’ve witnessed his work share how faith and freestyle are changing hearts.
“This helps me put my pain and how I’m doing in a verse and go with the flow. This experience helps me with my coping skills and taking me out my comfort zone.”
“Being on that stage can relieve a lot of pain and hopefully some minds can change.”
“The programmer helps the youth use their music in a more therapeutic way and more positive manner… in a way I haven’t really seen before.”
“For me, it showed me my value.”
Mr P. I just talked for a whole period to a girl that showed up for the first time. The way she talked about the influence you had on her life in the JIC quite literally brought tears to my eyes!
